ABOUT
Clockwork and Gears Vintage Dancing is a historic dance group based in Salt Lake County, Utah. For more than a decade, we have been learning contra dances, English country dances, and folk dances from around the world, dating as far back as the Middle Ages, though the majority of our repertoire is from the Victorian and Regency eras. In addition to our regular practices, we have taught at numerous balls, festivals, and conventions hosted by Utah
Hachicon, Utah Winter Faire, Salt City Steamfest, Snake River Comicon, Anime Banzai, Salt Lake County Library Services, the Leonardo, the Hutchings Museum, and more.
Don't let our resume deceive you; we aren't your typical stuffy dance group. Whereas some seek perfection, our primary objective is to have fun. Mistakes are encouraged, and while we recognize there's a time to be formal, there are also plenty of occasions for some silliness and shenanigans.
